We really haven't been up to much lately except normal day to day life. But here are a few pictures of us doing that...
Making good use of our Cincinnati Children's museum pass
I've been really trying to not interfere with her choice of attire. Yes, that is a blanket that tied together with ponytail holders in the back. She wore it to the Y and the library. Don't worry, despite major protests, I made her put on some leggings underneath to cover up the gaping hole in the back.
Sophie and I went on a date to the play Rapunzel put on by the Cincinnati Children's Theater. It was really fun to spend time with just her.
Pat built a little fire pit in our back yard. We roasted hotdogs and marshmallows one night. Hopefully again soon.
Enjoying Chocolate milk at McDonalds. Moments later he spilled the chocolate milk all over his clothes. It never fails with this boy. We took the rocking chair out of his room yesterday because at nap time he tipped it over and hurt his head. The only thing left in his room was the dresser and although just last night Pat and I discussed bolting it to the wall or putting it in the closet, of course we didn't take action, and he pulled it over on himself today. Not my best parenting moment. It will be in the closet before he goes to bed tonight. This boy loves to climb and destroy way to much!
Last Friday we went camping at East Fork Lake with some friends. It turns out I didn't get many pictures, but we did have a fun time. It was like 30 degrees overnight. Evan slept with me and Sophie with Pat after she woke up whimpering in the middle of the night because she had wiggled out of her sleeping bag(again) and was freezing. The kids had a great time playing and the adults had a great time sitting around the fire and talking for hours and having s'mores at 10 a.m. I love camping!
We have also been busy with trying to keep our yard mowed, clearing out flower beds and other yard work that never seems to end this time of year. We also had a lovely outbreak of termites a few weeks ago...seems like it is always something with the house, or the car. Pat recently went to Philadelphia for a work conference and claims it is his favorite big city. I took swimming lessons for a few months and can kind of now stay afloat for a few laps. Sophie just started swimming lessons again a few weeks ago and has picked it up really quickly, considering she has been out of the water since last summer. She also had her first soccer practice last night for the spring season. She is on a new team with other little girls from her school, so I think it will be a good change up for her. Less than 2 more months of school for her before she is done with kindergarten!

I'm glad we came for some of the camping fun! I enjoy running with you and talking about what is going on in our lives. You are a great friend, thanks!
I love all the new posts-I had a lot to catch up on! 3 things to say
1. Your kids really are so stinkin' cute Becky. I wish Justin & Evan could hang out because I get the feeling they would get along well
2. We need a fire pit too
3. How cool to have a Mommy/daughter date-I can't wait to do stuff like that with Emma :)
Keep posting-I love it
