Things have been a little busy here in Cincinnati, but i love busy, so we are doing well! Pat has been studying for his 9th test, which he will take on October 25. He has been working hard, so hopefully he will pass it. He has also been helping to coach Sophie's soccer team, which I think that he has enjoyed. Somehow he has been finding time to train for the Ragnar race that we have coming up on November 4-5. I think that we are both anxious to have it over with. Everyone tells us that it will be fun...we'll get back to you on that.
I have been busy running Sophie to school and picking her up(seriously it takes up more than an hour of my day when she has school), running around after Evan and coaching Girls on the Run for the 4th year. I think I love it more and more every year that I do it. It helps that we have an awesome group of girls this year!!!! I also had the opportunity to get First Aid/CPR certified a couple of weeks ago. GOTR encourages that all of their coaches do so. I did it more so that if something were to happen with my kids(or anyone elses kids in my care for that matter) I would have some idea of what to do. Evan had a choking incident at a friends house the other day when Pat and I were out running and gratefully my friend knew what to do. Its scary how quickly things can happen.
Here's a little bit of what the kiddos have been up to:
Evan played the Wii for the first time. It's a good thing he likes it, because he broke the DVD player a couple of weeks back and so that is about the only thing we have around here for entertainment.
After having a playgroup at our house where several little girls were playing with the baby dolls, Evan decided that he may try it out. It only lasted about 24 hours and he was back to his normal destructive self, but it was nice to see the sensitive side of him for a day. Every so often he will bring a baby doll to me and say " It nakies" and we get the baby dressed. (because for some reason the kids like to change the doll's clothes, but never seem to actually put more clothes on them) At least the kid is into modesty.
He also loves to play at the park. We have been having stellar weather for the last week or so and we have been hitting up the park at every opportunity.

Sophie started up dance last week. I think she had a great time. Her friend Lily is in the class too, so I think that helps! It's a class that a couple of gals from the other ward that meets in our building teaches and luckily Lily's mom asked if we could join too!
Sophie is almost done with soccer for this fall. They are the Rainbow Mermaids this time around. I finally got to watch a game on Saturday( normally I am chasing Evan around the park, but I buckled him in and stuffed him full of snacks), the game was rather humorous. Sophie got a few good kicks in, but during the other times, she was blowing me kisses, picking grass/flowers and talking to her friends. It made me feel better that some of the other girls were doing the same thing. Pat tells me that she has made some goals this season, so I guess she actually plays sometimes.
She still enjoys Girls on the Run, but has more interest in playing with her babysitters than running this year. She will normally run a couple of laps and then want to go and play. Too bad I already signed up for and paid for her race entrance fee. Oh well, I guess we will be walking the 5k this year.
A couple more random pictures of Evan. ( I tried to move them, but then the internet had a little fit, luckily I was able to retrieve this post, but it is a little jumbled. Oh well. It's better than nothing!)

oh becky! I loved reading all the updates about your and your family. I was thinking of you guys a lot last week and just wondering how you all were doing and of course missing you guys. It sounds like you guys are doing wonderful and Evan is soooo big now! Holy Cow what a cute little man. I miss little Sophie! I am so proud of her playing soccer, Cali misses her a ton. She keeps on asking when we can come and visit.
