Yesterday we made our annual visit to Shaw Farms and it didn't disappoint. It was 85 degrees out and the kids were hot and tired by the end, but I think it was a success. I feel like they have made some good improvements in the 5 years that we have attended. The new "train" ride was a hit as well as the pumpkin patch where you can actually go out and pick your pumpkin and cut it off of the vine. It has been hard to find places around here that we can do that. (That being said, we didn't end up picking one, but we did wander around the patch for a while.)
Before the train Ride (not sure why we are underlining here, but blogger must think its important)
They are in the second car from the back.
Yes, this is the best picture of the three of them I could get, between Evan running away and Sophie not being able to smile or even look at the camera normally.

My two favorite boys(Once again, why the underline?)
In the three little pigs brick house.
Red hot and tired Evan in a pumpkin pile.

Sophie and Pat finished it off with a stump jump contest. I gave them a tie, but I think Pat may have won with his more creative jumps. However an honorable mention goes to Sophie's backward dismount.
After we finished at Shaw we headed over to Texas Roadhouse for some late lunch/early dinner. We normally try to avoid sit down eateries due to Evan's rambunctiousness, but he fell asleep on the way over and so it was actually a really enjoyable time!
