The Little Man turns 1

Evan celebrated his first birthday last Thursday! Hard to believe he's one. We just celebrated at home with our little family on his birthday and had a fun time. We had some friends who's little boy turned one 5 days before Evan over on Sunday to celebrate with cupcakes- as you can see in the pictures Evan really got into it. He picked up the cupcake and then didn't move it from his mouth for like five minutes. I think he was trying to nurse all the goodness out of it. So cute!
A few things about Evan at age 1:

• 22 1/2 lbs
• 31 1/4 inches long
• Walking like crazy and trying to run too...
• Loves to give kisses especially to his little friends. I don't think they always appreciate it.
• Quite a tease-loves to pull hair, especially Sophie's. He will look at me to make sure I am watching and then pull her hair. He is tall enough now that he can pull her hair even when she is standing up!
• Loves cars and balls. He treats everything like a ball and there has been several times that the people sitting in front of us at church have gotten the bad side of that.
• He eats great-he loves any type of fruit and cheese
• Loves to climb and will push chairs around so that he can get to something if he can't reach it- certainly keeps me busy.
• Likes to help Mommy with the laundry and Daddy unload the dishwasher-as long as we are taking things out of places and putting more in, he could be happy for ever.
• Loves to look at books and play with his big sister Sophie(but that usually ends up with him pulling her hair.)

I love that he has such dark brown eyes and looks just like what I imagine Pat to have looked like when he was little-although I haven't seen any pictures of him as a baby to back that up.

So grateful to have our little Evan in our family!
