Thanksgiving

Pat's sister Dawn and her husband Jacob joined us for Thanksgiving this year. His cousin Jessica is going to graduate school nearby so she was also able to join us for the weekend as well. Sophie LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the extra visitors and they were so great to put up with her games for hours on end. She is missing everyone all ready(and so are we-come back soon).

Yummy pies-2 homemade, 2 frozen. Our apple-cranberry one turned out awesome. It looked like a cartoon pie from Snow White or something. So big and juicy and yummy!
The whole crew.
Our typical Sophie at this point in her life. It's so hard to get a picture where she is not doing something silly! Thanks Aunt Dawn for the cute new headband and flowers!
What's Thanksgiving without olive fingers?
So many hours spent coloring and reading books with Jessica.
Helping me make Lemon Meringue Pie.
Saturday brought several pretend parades. Uncle Jacob was such a good sport and donned many different outfits to march around the house and pass out candy(plastic bracelets) with Sophie.
more parade outfits.
Oh my goodness, where's is Evan???? Oh wait there he is, stuck on a ball behind the couch. He is one sneaky and mischevious little fellow.
Picture by Sophie of the adults loading up the food.
Our little Cornish Hens. We decided that since we don't really like turkey all that much, we were going to cook chicken and Cornish hens. In the crockpot, so not much mess and so good!
Everyone ready for the food and for me to be done taking pictures.
The food-Yum!
