A busy week

Our ultrasound went well yesterday. The tech said that everything looked great and we are pretty confident that it is a Boy! I wasn't really surprised at all. I think that I would have been much more surprised if she had said it was a girl. We are super grateful that so far everything is looking good and going well. I think that we built up the ultrasound a little too much, because last night Sophie told us that " I wanted to see the baby's skin." She'll have to wait until January for that.
We also decided that it was time to move Sophie out of the toddler bed that she had been sleeping in, so yesterday while she was at her first day of preschool, Pat and I went and picked up a bed for her. We went looking on Labor Day, so we had an idea of what we wanted. We didn't want to pay the delivery charge nor do we have a van, truck, or any other vehicle one might think would be good to haul a bed in, but we didn't let that stop us. We laid down the back seats in our Malibu and stuck the mattress and bed frame in there-a perfect fit. And then we tied the box spring on top with a little twine. We felt super classy(and thrifty) driving through our neighborhood on the way home. Luckily it was only a couple of miles.

Then last night we took Soph to pick out her new sheets for her bed. Who knew it would be such a process. So many choices, so, so , so many choices. She made up her mind for sure about 4 times, but finally stuck with The Littlest Pet Shop sheets. Not as cute as the Tinkerbell ones that I would have chosen or the Princess ones that Pat was voting for, but we told her she could pick, so now she sleeps on a monkey.

Our little girl in her big girl bed.
Sophie also started dance classes this week. It is a combination of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tumbling. Both will be fun for her, but I think she prefers the tumbling portion of the class. She looked so cute decked out in her pink leotard and skirt. It's fun to see her face glow as she's learning and practicing new things.

Her new favorite pretend game is "dance class".
We had our preseason coaches meeting for Girls on the Run last week and I am pretty excited about the upcoming week as I get to start coaching again. It is such a fun program. It seems like all of our fall activites started all in the same week, but I think that I tend to do better when I am busy.
