Sophie likes to play(play with) games that are a little advanced for her. One night while I was out, Pat and Sophie decided to play with the Risk gameboard. When they pulled it out this is what happened. Sophie asked, "Where is Idaho on this map? I don't see Idaho." Pat showed her the area in which it is located and left the room for a minute. When he came back this is the map he found and he said, "Sophie, why are all the people right there?" Sophie replied," They are all in Idaho." Of course, it makes sense now."Mommy, is today August?"Those were the first words out of Sophie's mouth this morning. She has been excitedly awaiting August for months already because that is when we get to go and visit Grandpa and Grandma Hillman and all the Aunts and Uncles and Cousins that come with them. She asks at least 5 times a week when it will be August. She sings songs about going to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Idaho, pretends she is on an airplane constantly and asks questions about Grandpa and Grandmas house. Only 6 more weeks to wait. It's hard to explain that to a 3 year old. I think I will make a countdown chain for her.

this made me laugh so hard! Seriously, it reminds me of my kids too. Cali asks me every day, how many days until we go to Nana's and then she calls my mom on the phone and tells her the amount of days:)
