Snow!

We finally got enough snow for Sophie to go outside and play in! She's been dying to go out and build a snowman for a month now. Unfortunately the snow doesn't pack very well, so despite our best efforts, we don't have a little Frosty in our yard. She definitely loves the snow much more than last year. She doesn't have any snow boots, so I put on a pair of her shoes, then a pair of Pat's socks and then put grocery bags over them. It seemed to work alright. Pat also got to come home from work at lunch today because there is supposed to be another ice/snow storm coming in tonight and tomorrow. It's been fun having him home for a few extra hours.

A Sophie snow story:
Pat and Sophie walked to the bread store last week sometime when we had a thin layer of snow on the ground. As they walked out the door Sophie decided that she was going to throw a snowball at Pat. She got the snow gathered up and threw it at him, but it went more up than forward and came back down and hit her smack in the face. She was not too happy about that. I thought it was cute, however, the next day one of her little friends was over and she was telling
her the story of how she threw the snowball and what had happened. Then, although her friend was not laughing at her, she said, "It really wasn't very funny." I guess we must have been laughing when it happened or something. She's quite the little storyteller these days.

Cute story! Glad she enjoys the snow. That is cool that Sophie is in preschool now. Hyrum has a play group but I have a friend doing a preschool next year so I'm thinking about having him go.
