Roadtrip

This past sunday, my friend Celeste and I loaded up the kids and the car and drove the 5 hours to Chicago. She was visiting a friend and I was going sightseeing with my sister, Amy, who was in town while her husband attended a conference there. We had a great time! Sophie and I stayed with Amy and Scott in their hotel suite(which had a phenomenal view!) that was located right downtown, just a couple of blocks from Lake Michigan, so we were able to easily walk everywhere. We sure did a lot of walking! We visited the Sears Tower Skydeck, the Shedd Aquarium and Navy Pier. We also had a lot of fun exploring the parks where Sophie played in a couple of different fountains and had a fabulous time chasing seagulls and pigeons( I'm pretty sure the bird chasing was her favorite part of the trip.). We were also able to eat at a lot of fun places and try some of the great food of Chicago. We had a fabulous time and although it was a fun change of pace, I am very glad that I live in the small, slower paced city of Cincinnati!

Unfortunately, we don't really have any pictures of the trip, because I forgot my camera in the car and my sister's really nice camera and cell phone got stolen on Day 3 of our trip! Total bummer!!!! I do have this one picture that I took on the long drive home. I caught the kids at one of the few moments that they were all happy!

What a fun trip! I have never been to Chicago I heard it is a fun place to visit. When my dad visited there last fall 2 ladies in his group got their purses stolen. I hope your sister can replace everything

How fun! I've always wanted to go to Chicago. After you visit Megan in Ann Arbor your next stop should be Dallas!
