Midland Easter Egg Hunt

This past Saturday, Pat's company hosted their annual Easter Egg Hunt. It started out with a light breakfast and a couple of cute crafts to make. Then the Easter Bunny arrived for photos, followed by the ages 0-3 Easter Egg hunt. Since it was rather rainy and cold last week, the hunt was actually in the aerobics room of the building-which doesn't really leave a lot of places for hiding, so the floor was literally covered in plastic candy -filled eggs and all the little ones had to do was fill their baskets to the brims. It was actually pretty intense. I think the parents got much more into than the kids did. There was a "Golden Egg" hidden among all the others, and whoever found it, received a basket full of goodies and toys(as if the candy from the Easter Rabbit and candy-filled eggs wasn't enough). After they said "go", I saw a guy drag his no older than 15 month old son across the room to the Golden Egg, I was thinking "this guy is crazy, it's only a game." Talk about getting too into the hunt. Then I realized I was telling Sophie " Stop eating the candy, just put the eggs in your basket, we can eat it later, you've got to get more eggs." Okay, so maybe I was getting a little too into the hunt as well...oh, well, I guess I can be a less competitive parent next year, but in the meantime we are enjoying the loads of chocolate that Sophie hunted for us!

Sophie doesn't look too sure about the giant Easter bunny-good thing you were holding her :)

Hi Becky! I found your blog through the Glutz's. Cute pictures. Don't worry about the competitive thing. Remember the parents get to eat most of the candy when the kids are young anyway!!
