Wesley Kimball Curtis

9 lbs. 6 oz. 22 inches long
Wesley turned 1 year old this morning! It is hard to believe it has already been that long since he joined our family! He has been such a sweet blessing to us and we cannot imagine our lives without him:
Wesley at 1:
- Sophie says: "He's very cute."
- Evan : " He's so nice and he thinks I'm his mom. That's what babies say to me."
- He's so calm and content most of the time.
- He wants to keep up with Evan and Sophie and tolerates Evan tackling him ALL DAY LONG.
- He's starting trying to tackle Evan, too.
- He is constantly running around. He trips now more than he ever has because his brain wants to go faster than his little legs can keep up.
- He started walking at about 8.5 months old and now is climbing chairs. I'm just waiting until he figures out that he can move chairs to get to what he wants...
- He loves balls.
- He loves going to the Y. He especially loves Delia, a child care worker.
- He is very affectionate and will let just about anyone pick him up and give him loves, even if just for a minute.
- He says "Mama" regularly and sometimes "Dada".
- He is generally kind of quiet, but when he is playing with the kids, he sure gets his voice going.
- This kid LOVES food and can eat like no other 12 month I have had. I am always surprised by how much food he can put away.
- He loves to giggle and play games with the kids.
- He loves being chased and playing tag (or I am going to get you...)
- He is almost entirely weaned.
- He has 4 teeth.
- He loves climbing the stairs. He fell down once(he was unhurt) and has been pretty good about staying away from the top of them since.
- He gets really upset when Sophie and Evan go upstairs to play without him.
- Or really anywhere without him.
- I am pretty sure he would rather hang out with them, than with his Mom or Dad.
- He loves our church playgroup. He gets in there and plays with the big kids.
- He sleeps 12-13 hours a night and usually has 1-2 naps.
- He likes remotes and handing Daddy his shoes.
- He thinks he can do everything that Evan can do. One night Evan was running around pretending to be a super hero. I looked over at Wesley who would try to jump and then throw his arms above his head, like Evan was doing.
- He know exactly what to do when we say " Champion" . Throw his arms in the air above his head, obviously.
