On Labor Day, we headed up to The Cincinnati Nature Center to do a little hiking. Sophie and I have gone up there several times, but this was the first time Pat was able to come with us. CNC is one of my favorite place in the Cincinnati area, and I was so happy to be able to finally share it with Pat. We packed a lunch and spent several hours hiking a couple of trails. Sophie did pretty well hiking, but as you can see in the pictures, she also spent quite a bit of time being carried.
We have read a couple of books lately that have trolls living under bridges in the story, so everytime we got to a bridge, Sophie would claim that she was the grumpy old troll and we had to say a "good" word to get across. As we would guess words she would either let us through or say "That is not a good word" and we'd have to try again. She is such an imaginative little girl. We had a great time hiking and playing together, and will probably be going back again soon.

I have never been to the Nature Center... I hear it is pretty neat. Great pics, it reminds me I need to go.
Sophie will be the ultimate outdoors girl as she gets older. You guys are always doing fun outdoor things!
