I found a cute little bike for $5 at a yard sale last week. As you can see in the picture, it isn't in perfect condition, but it is pretty good and will be great for her first bike. Until today, I have just let her practice pedaling on our driveway and our back patio(mostly because it has been extra rainy this week, bleh!), but today we went for a spin around the neighborhood on it and she had a great time! She is getting really great at pedaling, even on little hills and sometimes she will even start pedaling quickly and say "I'm going really fast, Mom. " I think I need to get her a little bicycle helmet, because although the bike has training wheels and is really close to the ground, she is sometimes not the safest driver.Hopefully she will get better before she is old enough to drive a car ;).
We also went to Ikea last weekend and we had a lot of fun. We ate breakfast there- Pat and Sophie both loved it, but I was not a fan. Then we spent a few hours browsing the showrooms and although we didn't find anything for the house, we did find this adorable table for Sophie. I loved the size and the bright colors and I thought it would be perfect for so many things! We kind of wish we had gotten one more chair, but 2 will do for now.

Getting a bike for Hyrum is on my list of things to do this summer too-I'll have to start looking at yard sales.
I'm so impressed! Go Sophie! I bought Baylie a bike for her birthday last summer (also at a garage sale) and she can't get the pedaling thing down for the life of her. Most of the time she won't even try. I hope it will click one of these days.
