I'm not quite sure why she's sticking out her tongue.
Wearing yet another hat
We bought Sophie some new black shoes to wear with her witch costume and to church. For about the first three days after we bought them, she was wearing them all the time, no matter what she was doing or wearing. I think she likes them so much because she can easily put them on herself. Definately starting a new fashion trend here.
We had a really festive Halloween this year. Our ward had a big party with a chili cook off, trunk or treating, and Karoake on Saturday night. We headed out after the chili so that we could make it to the fall festival our new neighborhood was having. There was lots of food, mingling, a moon bounce for the kids(Surprisingly Sophie loved this despite the rain and bigger kids bouncing), and corn hole (for those of you not familiar with the game-a fancy name for a game of bean bag toss on a slanted board-it's not a party, picnic, event without it- just another "interesting" thing about Cincinnati). Anyway, we had a great time. We like to think that it was a party welcoming us to the neighborhood, but apparently it takes place every year...
On Halloween we met up with some of our friends from church and went trick or treating in the new neighborhood. Sophie started to get the hang of it after about 5-6 houses and started running in between houses. I couldn't get her to say "trick or treat", but she would say "bye" as we left each place. Except for a few run ins with some older masked kids, she had a "spooktacular" time.
