We had a really great 4th of July! On July 3rd, we went down to Coney Island, where they had all sorts of entertainment like music, puppet shows, stilt walkers tying balloons for kids(see Soph's puppy below), jugglers, etc... and then of course the hot air "balloon glo" and fireworks. It was all really neat. There were lots of people there, but it was fun! We actually ended up leaving before the fireworks, but were able to catch quite a few from our balcony. On the fourth we went to our ward's breakfast and Pat was able to play frisbee for a while with some of the men in our ward. We then headed over to a parade in the nearby town of Anderson. Sophie fell asleep on the way over, but woke up for the end of the parade. We picked up a few flags at the parade and Sophie loves to play with them and wave them around. About 3 o'clock it started pouring rain and it didn't really stop for the rest of the day. We were happy just to be home. All in all we had a really good holiday for us!
Every time they got a hot air balloon infalted and standing up straight, everyone would clap. Sophie would stop whatever she was doing and clap along with the crowd!

The stilt walking Uncle Sam made a dog out of a baloon for Sophie. She liked to hold it and play with it , but a little kid stepped on it and popped it before we left ;( .

Our little patriotic girl.
